Some people have problem in windows 8 about CD DVD ROM not appearing or missing in windows 8. The SOLUTION or FIX for this common problem is here:-
Solution:
1) Run Command Promt as an adminitartor
2) Copy below line and paste in cmd, Hit enter.
reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" /f /v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001
3) Reeboot your system.
4) & Enjoyee.. ;)
