Enable Hibernate in Windows 8 and 8.1


As we know windows 8 arrive with lots of new features and settings. The biggest change we all noticed is metro interface instead of old Stat menu. Hibernate is also one of those which disappear as available in previous windows operating system.

Hibernating is process of shutting down your windows while retaining its state. More precisely Hibernate allows you to start your work from the same stage from which you turn off it.

Hibernate is useful in many occasions like your battery is low and you dont want to shut down to loose your work for  that you can hibernate option.

Here we will show you how to enable hibernate option in windows 8 and windows 8.1.   

Steps to Enable Hibernate in Windows 8

1)   Goto to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options. and Click "Choose what the power buttons do". (below image)


2)  Now Goto "ShutDown Settings" and check the Hibernate box (below image)



3)   Save the Settings and You are DONE!

Now Hibernate option is available along with Shutdown and Restart (below image).
